Contracts with King Abdulaziz
City for Science and Technology, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
for: - the establishment and management of the first national ICT
technology incubator in the Kingdom. - A scoping study for the
first national biotech technology incubator in the Kingdom. - The
development and implementation of a national business incubator
policy for the Kingdom – An ongoing role in the strategic
development of KACST technology incubation program.
- Mid Term
Review of the World Bank's infoDev Incubator Initiative, an incubator program for
developing countries (2004)
- Entrepreneurship and
business incubation training at APEC entrepreneur business
incubation forums (Taiwan, Mexico, China, Vietnam and Korea – 2000
to 2006).
- Incubator manager
training for the Iranian Government, Ministry of Science and
Technology and Isfahan Science and Technology Town (2006).
Regularly asked to speak as a resource person at annual Science
Park and Incubation conferences in Iran (2003 to 2006).
- Training for Japanese
business incubator managers in Osaka 2004
- Scoping
the potential for business incubation in Nepal, as an intervention
to overcome the 'growth trap' and building on micro business
development activities, for Helvetas, a Swiss NGO
- Development of Tianjin Women's
Business Incubator in China. This was a 3 year project working
with the Chinese government, the United Nations and AusAid to
establish the first general-purpose incubator in Tianjin China with
a focus on women entreprenuers.
- Capacity
building in Qingado and Harbin China. We completed this 3 year
project in 2003. It was one of Australia's largest capacity
building projects in China and helped establish business support
systems in two pilot Chinese cities, which included business
incubators, business advisory services and regulatory
reform
- Work
with the New Zealand Government developing their incubation
strategy and program (NZ Department of Trade and
Industry)

Feasibility study and
business plan to develop the Bio Commerce Centre, www.biocommerce.co.nz
a bio-science technology incubator in Palmerston North New Zealand
where the focus is agriculture, horticulture and food, for the
Palmerston North City Council and Massey University (2000 to
2002).
- Toolkit
for incubation on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and case
studies on incubation in Mauritius and Jamaica, for the World
Bank’s infoDev Incubator Initiative (2006)

planning for development of Windward Islands Incubation network in
the Caribbean, for the EU and the countries concerned (2005/06)
- Planning
for the first business incubator in Palestine for USAID, www.picti.org (2001)
